Mill Pond

An original unique embroidery made with free machine stitches on layered organza, shimmering fabrics, chiffon, wool tops, other assorted fabric, paint and ink.
 

We are lucky live along a very old lane, that once was a bustling communiy of spinners and weavers. This Mill pond is along our lane and once supplied the Spinning Mill with it's power supply and water. Beautiful draognfly dance about the pond in the summer, and the herd of Highland cows refresh themselves. I have tried to recreate the evening atmosphere here in this picture with my embroidery.
